The Novices

Greetings!
Kudos to the 10th batch of Novices of the Asia Pacific Augustinian Novitiate (APAN) Formation Program for coming up with a new issue/edition of the Kintsuban. Although there are only few of you in number (only four), you have continued this tradition of producing this publication. This is indeed a testament to your resilience, commitment and dedication in your formation process.
You have chosen to align the theme of this edition with the theme of the Jubilee Year 2025, Pilgrims of Hope. This is indeed relevant as hope is what is needed in this fast expanding Church in this part of the globe; hope is needed as we face the many challenges in our journey as a synodal Church in this multi-cultural Asia Pacific region. Christ’s comment many centuries ago that ‘the harvest is great but the laborers are few’ resonates loudly in our memory. There is a need of more workers for the work of evangelization. It is in this context that APAN fits in. In its own little way, it nurtures the hope that more people from this region would eventually hear and embrace the good news of Christ from the products of this international Augustinian novitiate program.
As you go back to your respective circumscriptions and continue with your religious formation and hopefully carry out your future ministry, remain faithful to the responsibility of leading the flock in this synodal pilgrimage of hope. The Augustinian imprint of your formation with its emphasis on community life would certainly come handy in this regard.
Once again congratulations and keep alive the enthusiasm!
